Went to the Doctors yesterday and took the nervous Grace with me to have her HEP A needle before she heads off to China in April. Was doing really great until Grace went back out to the waiting room and the Dr asked how i was. My god the tears just kept coming.... the Dr kept throwing tissues at me and i just kept crying. Talk about feeling like a complete moron. I would have howled my eyes out even longer if the Dr hadn't made me do breathing exercises to calm down so she could take my blood pressure...

Well the long and short of it is................ I am now on anti-depressants which should help me out a fair bit, but i really need to sort my shit out. Well first things first hey? I have to get use to these tablets (they can make you a little bit ill til your body adjusts to them), then i am going to start looking after me.

I will keep you posted on how i go...

Well guys i just don't know where to start so i am going to just blurt it all out and see where it takes me. After every single one of my babies i have suffered from postnatal depression. Not a thing i really like to admit to but hey shit happens right.....

For some strange reason of late i have been just beyond myself. Crying at a drop of a hat, yelling at the kids for the smallest of things, getting no enjoyment out of things i normally love and well just loosing it. I understand that it isn't postnatal depression as my baby is now 6yrs old but i just can not shake this feeling of dread. I admit that i have really looked down on people who self harm or commit suicide etc but at the moment i am starting to think that i might actually know where these guys are coming from. Don't stress guys i am not about to throw myself off the front porch or jump in front of a train or anything like that, but if i had to live with this feeling all the time i can understand how overbearing it can be.

I am taking action though... i have made an appointment at the DR's and hopefully i can get my shit sorted out. I am walking in there and demanding horse tranquilizer sized anti depressants plus i am going to start look after myself a lot more.

Anyway guys wish me luck... I just wanted to share this with you all so that if the time ever comes where you feel like this you will know you are not alone and that we can get help and move on with our lives..

What do you get if you cross two cows, a green bucket, an unfit overweight mother of 4 and an electric fence together? MAYHEM THATS WHAT.

My beloved soon to be mince meat cow Sunday Roast and her accomplice Lotsa have just given me hell. Sunday broke through our fence (yet again) into the common next door. I tried to get her out but no she wouldn't move.

So i ring the hubby who tells me to try again and take some grapefruit with me and coax her out. Little old me runs out with a green bucket (STUPID MOVE NUMBER 1) gets a few grapefruit and heads over our paddock and tries again. After about 10 minutes of me calling Sunday every name imaginable, she finally decides to come along and play nice. Through the gate with out a hitch and has a rub and a grapefruit for being good (STUPID MOVE NUMBER 2).

Now just to clarify so i don't look like a wimp, this cow is taller then me and is so fat it is scarey, plus she has the added bonus of two large horns. Well i gave Lotsa a grapefruit too as she had been the nice cow and hadn't gone out into another paddock (STUPID MOVE NUMBER 3). This of course meant i had no more grapefruit to give Sunday.

Sunday now associates the bucket with food..... can you see where i am going here with this. I turned my back and started heading back to the house yard gate about 100mtrs away, (small gate with an electic fence wire across it that you have to duck right under to get through or do a high jump to get over.

Of course i am swinging the bucket as i am proud of getting her back (STUPID MOVE NUMBER 4). Next thing i hear this thumping as Sunday comes bowling over to get more food. I spin around and yell at her and wave the bucket like mad to make her stop and low and behold she does.

Feeling pretty confident now that i am a cow whisperer i turned and with my chest out and my head held high stroll to about 2mtrs from the gate. Once again i start to hear the thumping noise. Not only was Sunday charging with horns down but Lotsa had joined the crusade. I screamed at them, waved the bucket like mad but did they stop no. They continued to charge at me.

In my confusion as to why they didn't stop (after all i was the great cow whisperer now), i paniced (STUPID MISTAKE NUMBER 5) and ran towards the gate. Having no time to sqaut right down under the electric fence i did a complete dive, bucket and all straight onto my gut and boobs (STUPID MISTAKE NUMBER 6). Now if you are a woman you will truly understand the pain of doing this to your boobs. NOT NICE.

Sunday stopped just at the wire, mooed at me and then snorted as though she was as proud as punch. Lotsa just walked away and didn't really care. So there i am laying on the ground face first unable to breath as i am sure i just spewed my lungs up thinking "wait til i get my hands on my hubby".

Hubby gets a phone call from a very irrate me and is given the options of

1. CUT THAT BLOODY COWS LEGS OFF
2. CUT HER BLOODY HORNS OFF
3. FIX YOUR STUPID BLOODY FENCES SUNNY JIM cause this little fat duck aint going to be playing with the cows no more. (WISE MOVE NUMBER 1).

Anyway to sum it all up. My nipples hit my back bone, my ribs feel as though i have broken them, and i am soooooooooo over cows.

Yippee! that's right Yippee! I have created... Not one, not two, not even three but 7 cards. I have been playing in my craft room the last couple of days and loving it. Don't you just love it when inspiration hits and you can relax and just go with the flow? I certainly do.

Thought I would share with you my creations.

I have to apologise for the images not being straight or neat. Grace decided to help me by scanning them all in. Why is it that they never look as good on screen as they do in real life.?Anyway enough of this typing and playing i am off to create some more.

Housework built up, craft room empty, bags under eyes, cranky husband, new bed partner and empty wallet. It can only mean one thing..... Yup that's right i have a sick kid. Ashley god love him has had a cough that has been coming and going for 3 weeks. Poor little bugger seems to be getting over it and BAM! it hits him again. I finally got into the doctors and Ashley is now on antibiotics for Bronchitis. Fingers crossed that this is the answer as if he doesn't improve in 72hrs I have to take him back to the doctors for chest x-rays and a whooping cough test. I was told the whooping cough test isn't the nicest of things so I am praying that we don't have to go down that line.

I am trying my hardest to get Ashley comfortable and settled enough that I can get into my craft room and knock up a couple of cards while the mojo is still hanging around. Oh and I can't forget the housework can I lol.

I have to admit to being a kangaroo short of a top paddock. Sometimes i have moments of genius (well i think they are) and then the rest of the time i have the full six pack but lack the plastic rings that holds the six pack together.

I made a heap of cards for different birthdays and occasions lately but in my rush to meet deadlines and parties i didn't take photos of them or scan them. How stoopid is that.....?

So instead of having 7 cards to show you I only have 2.

This card i made for my mother inlaw. I used some K & Co papers that i have had for ages and love. It was really nice putting this one together. I must mention that i took the idea from here. This lady is so clever and her cards are simply beautiful and quick and easy to make. I finally managed to find a white gel pen in this town and had a ball putting the fake stitching on. I really like the look it gives to a card. SO hold on as i think there will be a lot more white ink being splashed and dashed around.

This cute little girl is for my neice Sarah. I think this little girl is the most gorgeous stamp and i love getting her out to play with every now and then. I used staming up markers to colour her in as i am still not skilled enough with my copics lol. The papers are bits and peices i had laying around. I think they have come together nicely.

Anyway that is it for me. I am hoping to make some more cards tonight and fingers crossed i scan the suckers as soon as they are finished.

As promised here is my card from yesterday. So sorry it is late but due to circumstances beyond my control (gravity) it is lucky to even be up here now.

I stayed true to the challenge and used High Hopes stamps. This cow makes me smile everytime I stamp her. So wouldn't mind swinging my ring and doing a bit of a jig every now and then.

The papers are from Inque Boutique "Isn't It Romantic" range. I love love love this little book of 6x6 papers. They are all so cute and pretty.

I have learnt some fascinating facts last night. After spending hours at the UNE for tournament of the minds (more like torture of my mind), I got home with the intention of having a shower, cooking tea and scanning my card for the day. It seems though that the universe had more in plan for me...

MYTH NUMBER 1 "FAT PEOPLE BOUNCE"

Well what is the saying about plans best made going astray...... I went to jump into the shower and low and behold slipped on liquid soap that my kids had tipped everywhere and landed against our little ledge with tiles missing off it and hurt my stuffed up back. Oh it was so not a pretty site. I have bruised all up the inside of my left leg (including up near the groin), bruised the outside of my right leg, pulled a muscle in my right arm, twisted my right ankle as my heel got stuck in the plug hole and bruised and cut my bottom/back. We wont talk about how the shower curtain came off.

CONCLUSION: MYTH BUSTED

MYTH NUMBER 2 "YOU WILL FEEL BETTER AFTER A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP"

Today I am hurting like you wouldn't believe. There definately was no jumping out of bed. In fact it wasn't even much of a roll out of bed. I had trouble just rolling over to get out of bed. I can see some pain killers coming on here soon...

MYTH NUMBER 3 "HUSBANDS CARE'

My DH decided this morning to have a shower. I called after him to be careful as he got in as i would hate for him to fall too. All i got back was "ok who is pulling all the little tiles of the ledge in there" my response " sorry love i will just roll over and you can get your pliers and dislodge them from my arse, they seemed to have lodged in there when i fell against them last night". Truly i didnt count how many i knocked off last night as our light in our ensuite doesn't work and i was in too much pain to give a shit. However by his response this morning i get the feeling it was quite a few. All is good though the shower will pull through.

CONCLUSION: MYTH BUSTED

So there ends my little drama. I will scan the card from yesterday and make a card for today as soon as I can get to my scanner and bend over to turn it on lol.

My new motto in life is "A CARD A DAY KEEPS MY INSANITY AT BAY". lol. Wouldn't it be lovely to have the time to make a card a day. Maybe that is a challenge I could set for myself. To make a card a day for a week first then maybe a month then 3 months etc and so forth. How challenging would that be.

Ok that is what i am going to do starting today i am going to make a card a day and share with you for this week. Fingers crossed i can pull it off now i have openned my big mouth lol. You are all more than welcomed to join me in this quest for craziness if you feel up to it lol.

So my first card is one that i actually did whip up this morning while the creating bug was biting and before the kids woke and caused utter mayhem. The stamps are from HIGH HOPES and are just gorgeous. I brought them from Stampin' Stuff. Might try to use the high hope stamps on all the cards i make this week as a bit of a show case to these wonderful stamps. Anyway back to the card. It is MAD COW and she just oozes how i feel sometimes. Love love love this stamp. (If you know me well enough you would know i love cows and have 2 of my own ). I hope you enjoy.

Of late I have been thinking of what to do for christmas presents for friends and low and behold i have found the perfect thing for my crafty mates. It is quick, inexpensive and really cute. "Well what is it?" I hear you asking me. It is a card sketch book for those of us who like to doodle and make our own sketches of even to jot down quick sketches of cards that take our eye. It is small enough to be stashed in your bag so that you are never caught out when inspiration hits. If you would like to have a peek then look no further then here. See I told you it was cute lol.

Jumped up this morning and remembered that Anthony had a birthday party to go to after school and of course I didn't have a suitable card. Haven't made many grunge teenage boy cards in my time (i find them difficult for some reason). Anyway I whipped one up that i was really impressed with and of course I didn't scan it or take a photo. It is all good though folks as i have heaps of patterned paper left and have made another to show you all.

Well I have had an amazing day today. Early this morning Ashley, Thomas and I (the boys are off school sick) went to Bunnings to grab some items for a garden out the front of the scout hall. I had been told to talk to a lady there about getting someone to come along and help us construct the raised bed (they supposedly do that for school groups etc). So I found this angel called Lorraine. She was just so friendly and helpful and has not only arranged for someone to come along and help make the garden but they are supplying the wooden sleepers and the dirt to fill it. OMG how wonderful is that. All I have to do is take some photos so they can use it as a fathers day project. You could have knocked me over with a feather i was so impressed. So if you need anything handy man like go to bunnings and support these guys. They are the best.

On another subject. I also called into the local scrapbooking shop here called Angels R Scrappin and got the most funkiest paper for boys. If you go here you will see it in all it's glory. I just can not wait to get in and make some cards for my boys.

It must be shopping weather or something as I also went to Scrapbook megastore and got some amazing bargains. 12 copics and a carry case for $65 so i am in heaven not to mention the kindy glitz, blender pen, and these awesome new tape cutters that fit the double sided tape that we all buy. This little tool will make life so much easier and it is only $2.50. WHAT A BARGAIN.

So now that my wallet is empty I am off to create.

"You are never too old to learn" is the old saying and guess what?..... It is actually right. "Gee whiz woman! What has taken you so long to work this out? " I can hear you all saying. OK so I am a little bit slow when it comes to stuff like this. Anyway back to the point of this post... I have been searching blogs for a couple of days now looking at how others create their cards. Well low and behold I had a friend suggest a great blog that has little tutorials to go along with the cards and oh my god I can not get off the blog. I am glued to the laptop watching kwernerdesigns and to tell you the truth I am still listening to her give instructions while I am typing this.

I hope I have shared something that can brighten your day and spark your creativity like mine has been.

Moving to a lap top has it's advantages such as being able to use the internet while moving around the house (such as in bed on a cold morning). However I have come across the problem that all my favourite blogs are saved on my old PC.

I am on the hunt for some cool and interesting cardmaking blogs to look at. If you have any that inspire you to create and try different things let me know. There are so many when you google cardmaking or stamping blogs that my head spins.

I have been eyeing of COPICS for a long time now. Haven't taken that big step and purchased any yet as they are so pricey and I was worried about not getting the full use out of them. I am once again toying with the idea. I have seen some of the most beautiful cards coloured with these markers and the blending is second to none. Might have to go on the Chrissy list.

I so need to win lotto. My want list has grown and grown and there is no way on earth that i am getting an art studio anytime soon lol. The Kindle is now out at Big W and I am desperately saving to get myself one of those. These are amazing e readers that have a screen that looks just like a book.

Anyway all this pipe dreaming is not getting any cards made. Have a wonderful day.

What is the go with my MOJO????? I thought after months of creating absolutely nothing it would come flying back to me 10 fold. Well I thought wrong didn't I! My MOJO is A NO SHOW.

I have had the perfect day of hubby working and kids cleaning rooms to sit and create. I sat at my table with all the enthusiasm in the world and BANG BOOM FART COUGH SPLATTER nothing, zip, zero. All my materials are sitting there looking at me and I just can't put paper to card. I have looked on blogs, watched tutorials on you tube and I have even looked over old magazine but nothing comes to me....... my head is spinning I am running out of precious time and I WANT TO CREATE. OMG can it get any worse.

Hello Possums,

Sitting on the lounge after finally cleaning up my craft room and I had the brain wave of actually logging into my own blog! Is everyone on high ground as I am sure the heavens are going to open up and it is going to flood.

SO much has happened since my last post. I do not even know where to begin.

Life has been busy as usual with scouts. Grace is currently undertaking her Green Chord hike and all of its many components. I could not be prouder of her as she plods her way through the paperwork and planning. Anthony has just achieved his red chord and his chest is puffed right out with pride god love him. He thoroughly loves his scouting and is having the time of his life at Oxley. Ashley is now a Joey at Hillvue with me and there are moments where he loves it and I enjoy that time with him then there are other moments where i just could choke him. Thomas is yet to get involved in the mayhem. He is too young until October so for now he is happy plodding around playing tennis (well trying to play tennis). We have given him the nickname of Lleyton.

I am still travelling along as Joey Leader and I love the kids and the fun we have. I am blessed to have a wonderful lady named Christina working with me. We have the best time laughing and giggling and acting silly with the kids.

Ray started a new job this year at Grain Products Australia. It has been a huge change as he was with his last employer for 24 years. There was definitely some separation anxiety when the time came. The hours are not as long and the on call is only every 5 weeks which is such a nice change.

Mum is still at Bourke and loving it. She rings me daily so it still feels like she is in town. Holidays are definitely interesting when she comes and stays with us as you can well imagine. The husband vs the mother is not always the pleasant of experiences.

Well i am going to love you and leave you. Can not spoil you all with too much information straight off.

I have some really big news to share and i am uber excited about it. I AM BECOMING A JOEY LEADER. Tamworth Hillvue Scout Group is about to get a joey mob up and running again and i am head joey leader. God help me lol. For those of you who dont know about joeys well here is a quick run down. Joeys are boys and girls 6 to 8 years old who like to play and have a great time. We try to teach the kids about the world around them and to push their little boundries a bit. i am starting off with about 7 - 8 joeys and 2-3 leaders which is so exciting. WISH ME LUCK

Just of late i have been inspired by some wonderful photography i have seen on peoples blogs and i have had a little play with different things. The thing i have noticed most though is it isnt just the quality of the photo you take (there is always photoshop) but what the photo is of that pulls at your different emotions. I am now trying really hard to think outside the square and take pictures i normally wouldnt do. I am also thinking abit more about the angle at which i take the photo too. I love love love (can you feel the love) photos of roads leading off, or peoples footsteps in the sand. There is just something about them that puts me in the best mood and stirs me up inside. (ok i admit a nice looking man in an uniform also stirs me up inside lol). So with my trusty camera (which i so now want to update to a digital slr which i will have to do a course to understand) i headed off into my paddock to take a shot of a fence. yep thats right a fence. I know it isnt the prettiest of things in the world but for some reason i just had a hankering for a fence picture(couldnt find a man in uniform at quick notice). Now i want you to be honest with me and tell me what your favourite types of pictures are and please try to keep it PG rated lol. oh and here is my fence picture for you to have a looksy at.

well arent you a lucky crew not only do you get a long winded post out of me today but you also get this quick cute one as well.

i would like to introduce to you our newest member of our family Pebbles the shoe chewing, burr catching, hyperactive, piddling pup.

a friend of mine bought her and then the realestate agents she is renting through told her she had to get rid of her pets so Pebbles has come to live with us. arent i a lucky one. I must admit though that i have fallen head over heels for this little bundle of fluff. She is so cute and funny and well she just blends in with us and our ways beautifully. so here she is PEBBLES.

i would like to thank the pioneer woman for her simple terms on apperture and shutter speed for these pictures as it was only after reading her blog that i finally worked out how to play with my camera. i know they arent perfect but compared to my earlier shots they are brilliant lol.

now todays post has a moral to it. Yep that is right i am going to give a lesson on learning from your mistakes as it seems my blonde dumb witted husband has no concept of this.

The story goes.
It is a lovely sunday morning and marnie runs into town at 7am to drop her talented daughter off for a school activity. Marnie then runs home and makes the beds, makes breakfast, cleans the kitchen, tidies the lounge room, does a load of washing, hangs out one that was done the night before and then vaccuums the house. All this is done while ray (after a big day at work the day before ) chills infront of some machine forum. After marnie finishes her jobs ray asks her if there is anything she would like to do today and she answers quite simply that she would love to go to the markets and buy a small statue type thing (she will know it is the right one when she sees it). Ray agrees this is a good plan and that he just wants to pop into the tip (buy back centre, rays second home). Marnie runs off and has a shower and spruces herself up for a lovely day with the boys. Marnie runs out all excited and ready to go and gets hit with (are you ready for this) YOU CANT GO OUT DRESSED LIKE THAT YOU KNOW YOU DONT HAVE THE BODY SHAPE TO PULL OF LEGGINGS. (can you tell i am pissed). Marnie comes back with well my friends think it looks great and i am comfortable so yep i am going out like this. (now you would think he would quickly shut up but no he comes back with WELL YOUR FRIENDS HAVE LIED. MAYBE THEY ARE JUST TELLING YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR. *(ok now if you put a blood pressure machine on me here i would have broken it my heart was beating so fast). Marnie proceeds to slam doors, throw keys at him and goes in changes and refuses to go anywhere with a ()*^&)*(&^*^&%*)^)(&)(*& (and then some more ()*^&)(*&)(^)(). Sunday night falls and marnie is still not happy but she lets it ride for the sake of her sanity. (but wait it gets better).

Monday comes around and marnie works her large arse off doing everything for everyone else and wears leggings with a large shirt and cardigan over the top (ray was going to work so she didnt have to see him all day). Night time falls and ray whilst marnie was washing up (never a good time to confront me with something) says NOW MARNIE (not a good start to any conversation) DO YOU WANT YOUR DAUGHTER TO DRESS LIKE YOU DO. REALLY HAVE A LOOK AT YOURSELF. (are you ready for the explosion). Marnie went off like a rocket to the moon and still hasnt arrived back here yet. Marnie asked ray ARE YOU SUGGESTING I LOOK LIKE SOME COMMON )(*&)(*&)(*&)*( ray answered WELL IF THE SHOE FITS WEAR IT. (more )(*()&)(*&()*^&*^$^&%#%$@^$&(^%*^(*&^*(&^(^&*^$^&#^%$#^%#$) ok so lets just say that ray didnt learn the lesson on sunday of sometimes keeping your big mouth lazy arsed lame opinions to yourself but after last nights performance i think he has. NOW DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE ANYTHING THEY WANT TO SAY TO ME ABOUT FAT CHICKS THAT LOOK LIKE WHORES IN TIGHTS. WELL DO YA.

World's Greatest Mum NOT!

I have decided that going for the title of worlds greatest mother is just well to god darn hard to go for anymore. I have come to this conclusion after well a weekend of running around after everyone else and i am buggered. I am now aiming for the title of The ALMOST AVERAGE MOTHER plaque instead. That i can do and do well. I can sew (well sort of), cook (well when i am in the mood), clean house (when i can no longer see the floor), remember every thing that the kids need (and not forget all my stuff, yeah highly unlikely), drive the family everywhere (if i could be bothered getting of the lounge), and lastly cough up money like a fountain (not any more sweetie). see i have it in the bag.

As the heading says i have up something up FOR SALE. Now i am not sure it will be everyones taste. It has a tendancy to work well for others, be somewhat tempermental (sorry about spelling mistakes), not that old but not new either, can be used hard or soft, technically challenging at times, not house trained but toilet trained, has a strong mind set, very opinionated and big mouthed when sometimes it is wiser not to be. Yep it is my husband. Does anyone want him. I am ready to rip his head off and shit down his throat. I never asked for his fashion advice and i hate to think what he would have said if i had actually asked lol. Price is negotiable and i dont care if he goes to a good home.

It has been the weird couple of weeks here at the Didlick residents. First off i was on my way to get the kids from school and my auto transmission shit itself. next week in my old apollo i was on my way home from scouts and cooked the engine. now ray is clever but even he can not fix two cars that quickly plus work days and night shift. on top of all this there has been cubs, scouts, joeys and schools to deal with. now the icing on the cake was the selling of my nans deceased estate that we had to help clean out and get stuff into a storage shed for my mother. to say we are buggered and the house is in a mess is an understatement. being a one car family again has been a big wakeup call for us all. i never realised how much i relied on my cars. thank god grace catches the bus to school in the mornings or that would be another trip in to town.

so here is the plan stan (i have always loved that saying lol) we are having tomorrow off from doing everything for everyone else and spending the day at home to 1. fix the cars and 2. clean up my house. fingers crossed this plan is going to work. wish me luck guys

Hello possums

It is freezing here today. My toes are like mini ice blocks and my fingers are blue. So glad we have the reverse cycle air con. I also have the 3 boys home today. Thomas is normally home with me but i have Ashley and Anthony home sick with the flu. Ashley seems to get over it and then wham it hits him all over again. Poor little bugger. I have made him do some reading on raz-kids and he is not happy with me. lol.

On the bright side i am going to do some card making today. I am nearly finished all the teachers gifts for the boys to give out and only have the principal to go. Kellie gave me a link to a fantastic womans blog called Jenny Macquire and omg i am in love with how she makes cards. So simple but look so beautiful. I am going to make the note cards she has on her blog here. They are so cute and simple to knock up. I just need to find an apple stamp to pop on it. I am sure i will find one somewhere in my stash of stamps.

ok i have to admit it i am a bit of a dame edna fan! i am sure i am not the only one though, but am i the only one who dressed up as her for a fun day at high school. yep i taped stars to my glasses, wore big white high heeled shoes and a tight blue and white dress. i even got called up on the stage as one of the finalists. so in honour of dame edna here is a little clip i found.

alrighty enough about me me me. this post is actually about Ashley the new Joeys scout. He is so proud of himself. He gets invested in a couple of weeks and i am just so proud of him. Long time no posting hey?

Been really busy here as usual with kids and scouts and hubby and well life in general.

Last post i chatted about taking the kids to disney on ice. It was wonderful. The costumes are beautiful and colourful and the story was great plus the skating was fantastic. The boys had a blast and cheered and clapped and pointed and screamed. Merchanise was so expensive so we didnt walk away with much but heaps of photos and some great memories.Thought i would share some pictures with you.

The boys enjoyed having their cousin Kurt around. He spoilt them rotten and played rough with them. Aunty Helen did a lot of spoiling too and the boys lapped up every moment of it.

Ashley starts joeys tonight. Should be interesting. He is taking some cup cakes with him as it was his birthday on the 21st. Might have to take the camera and get a couple of photos.

Bought some really cute patterned paper today from the reject shop so i am hoping and praying that i can make a card or two soon. Fingers crossed this is the inspiration i have been praying for.

hi all

only 3 more sleeps til i take the boys down to newcastle for disney on ice. they are really looking forward to it and i must admit i am too. just need to wash clothes and iron them, clean the house, check the car over and clean it, and make sure there is enough food for ray. it should be a great time with helen. might even have a drink or two and really chill out. must remember to pack some nibblies for the kids in the car or a war will break out. must remember batteries for my camera too. gee i really should write a list shouldnt i lol.

well it is with some sad news that i post today. a dear friend of mine lost her father suddenly on wednesday. it has come a quite a shock to her and her family. i thought i would make some sympathy cards for her and her nan and here they are. i find sympathy cards so hard to make especially when they are for someone you care for. does anyone else have this problem? any ideas on making sympathy cards for loved ones? please leave a comment if you do as i would love some advice on this.

hi all

i have cleaned my craft room and donated stuff to friends. it has been so refreshing to rid my room of clutter. poor sandie got a huge box full of goodies to clog up her craft space lol.

went stamping today with sandie and had a ball. we raided poor vicki's shop and stamps and made a mess (we did clean it up). i have so many stamped images now it is fantastic. i cant wait to get in and make the cards now. vicki has also agreed to sell our cards at her shop woo hoo. how exciting is that. now to get me arse into gear and get the cards packed and ready.

i really must thank kelly for this sudden bolt of inspiration. thanks kelly your call the other day was just what i needed to get me creating again and enjoying myself. housework will always be there for me. time to enjoy myself and have some time for me wont be. you are a gem girl.

i am so happy to be creating again. i went a bit besserk and made 3 more last night. i also sat down and found a heap more blogs that i can surf for inspiration. there are some really talented people out there. anyway i thought i would share my 3 newest creations.

stickers are from the reject shop. i made my own pp with distress inks from tim holtz, love that man.

got this lovely cake die from spotlight (think it could be a martha one) and just had to play with it. imagine it in black white and silver. mmmmmmmmm just yummo.

hi all
well as the title tells i have been busy busy busy. between kids, housework, scouts and card making i have been flat out. i have squeezed in some card making which has been fantastic. it is so nice to play around with all my goodies again and god knows i have a mini shop in my craft room. i have made a pack with my dear friend sandie that we will not buy any more scrapping stuff until the beginning of october that is unless it is cardstock for our cards. well i couldnt even go a day with out looking on the web and seeing what i want next lol. i emptied the cart though and will just have to wait til the 1st of october lol. hopefully we will be going to vickis on thursday and stamping our hearts out. fingers crossed i dont buy anything while i am there lol.

i thought i would share my cards that i knocked up.

these top cards have stickers on them from the reject shop. they just came together really quickly and i even managed to use up some scraps.

these three were inspired by a very talented lady called jenny mcguire. kelly put me onto her blog and i have watched nearly every you tube she has. so simple yet so elegant. if you want to see what this lady can do with distress inks, embossing powder and alcohol inks just go here.

hi all

yep i am once again rushed off my feet. i thought with all kids going to school i would have time to myself and be able to live the high life. yeah right ..... it has been the total opposite. by the time i get the kids to school come home and clean up the house and then do shopping, cooking or scouts i run out of the house again and pick them up. i have just signed up for reading groups on tuesday and thursdays so that is another 2 hours a week gone. i so have to learn to say no. lol....

anthony is travelling well at school. he loves his teacher and every day is coming home telling me what a great day he has had. it is so nice to see him smiling and happy to go to school.

ashley is well how can i put it...... just ashley. his teacher told me last night that he doesnt want to do what he is told and join in but just politely says "nope thanks i am just going to do the ashley thing" omg what am i going to do with that child lol. the teacher did mention that he is improving as the days go on.

thomas is plodding along like the little trooper he is. always happy to go to class and get on the computers and do other fun things. they are having water play day on tuesday so he is super excited about that.

grace is going great guns at oxley. she has made more friends and is constantly telling me all the high school goss. i cant keep up with it all. must be the old age creeping in. she is growing up into such a beautiful young lady and i couldnt be prouder of her. she is off to her swimming carnival tonight so she doesnt have to go to school tomorrow.

well i am off to have a shower and go to the inforamation night for anthony.

day one is done, how many more of these do i have to do????? it has all been worth it so it seems as Anthonys face when he came out of class today was priceless. i havent seen that smile for soooo long. god love him. he said the kids were actually nice and spoke to him and asked him to play and helped each other. it was fantastic to see the happiness in him. he was a slight bit worried that he didnt know the prayer they say at assembly but i assured him that in time he will know it and until then they wont mind if he says his own little prayer lol. anyway i just thought i would let you all know how he got on.

Anthony started year 4 today at a new school. now dont get me wrong the public school he was in is a great school just not right for anthony though. Anthony struggles with work sometimes and i found he was just being overlooked at times which is really sad. anyway he started at william cowper today and he was excited and raring to go. i had to hold the flood gates back til i got to the car. it was a bit of an emotional moment... he has Miss Gron as his teacher and she is new too so that is nice. Fingers crossed this is going to help him. oh and as a scrapbooker does i took some photos.

today my boys are running around the house all excited. when i openned the mail today there was a letter for each of them stating who their teacher was going to be for this year. Thomas has Mrs merrick, Ashley has Mr Tockuss and Anthony has Miss Gron. I cant beleive i am going to get 3 days a week to myself. omg what am i going to do with myself. i can see the house getting cleaner and maybe even a bit of arts and crafts.

hi all
whilst down town today i took over graces camera and took a few snaps. there is so much to see and do down there. i could easily spend a day just sitting there watching people walk by and take photos. country music really brings out some charactors and make things that seem normal stand out more.

isnt it funny, the thing that made the boys the happiest was simply balloons.

the tin man had the boys stumped. they didnt quite get that you had to put money in the tin to get the bloke to move lol.

the lights look very pretty against the trees and hopefully tonight i can get some more pics.

yes this is a post about the COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVITIES that are happening. yes it is that time again and the people are coming out of the wood work everywhere. i went for a stroll down town last night to look at the buskers etc. it was lovely and cool and the kids even got some fake tattoos. i managed to take a few pics too so thought i would share. i love looking at all the different characters that turn up, from Indians to the chicken man. if anyone has never been to the CMF then really book now for your tickets next year. just remember this is where Keith Urban started. I was there the night he won Tamworth Starmaker and i have an autograph to prove it pmsl. i use to have the biggest crush on that man, even with his mullet lol. it is truly one of the best fortnight you can ever have. there are heaps of free concerts on for those on a budget.

i have a friend who had a terrible legion on her face which took her forever to deal with anyway this friend has a fantastic sense of humour so she named it larry the legion. so in true form i have a coldsore on my lip. it is actually my first ever coldsore and my god it hurts so i have come up with the name of harriett the herpe. harriette is being dealt with in the strictest of ways and hopefully will not be staying here too long lol. harriette and larry can live together in the land of never want to see your on my face again

i have just come home from a great couple of days with my cuz sally. we took the kids to the beach and the lagoon at terrigal and just stuffed around. it was so nice to just hang out and chillax. her unit is lovely and there is the nicest pool just out side her front door. we ate like kings and drank like old drunks. i cant wait to do it again. thanks sally you are an awesome friend and cuz. love ya

new years resolutions

hi all
i have been doing some soul searching lately. what to do this year for my new years resolutions. do i try to cut out the f word from nearly every second sentence, do i try not to yell so much at the kids , maybe do some volunteer work while the kids are at school. nope i have decided to do the old faithful LOOSE WEIGHT resolution. my aunt and i are joining up to weight watchers on the 9th and we are going to get healthy. i am really looking forward to it. there is a bit of nervousness aswell but for the better part just excited. i have lost weight with them before so i know it works. excercise is happening with me playing on the wii fit plus for 1/2 an hour every day. i will build it up to the full hour over the next few weeks. i so need to turn my life around where it comes to my health. not only for me but because i want to be here for a long time with my kids. no early departure from this chickie babe. anyway that is it i have announced it to the world. now to get my arse up and excercise lol.

i know it has been a little while since i have left a post but life has been super busy. i have been doing some more sewing and tomorrow is d day. i am taking some stuff to sell at the markets. wish me luck guys as i dont know if they are going to sell or not. i am so nervous i feel sick lol. here are some pictures to show you my talent pmsl.

these bags are the two i am taking with me to the markets. they are 14inch wide by 13 inch high by 3.5 inch deep. they have pockets on the inside and outside.

i love the little motif on this apron. she is so cute.

hi all
i am definately not a beach babe but there is something about the beach that i just love. the sound of the waves crashing, the sand between your toes (not so nice in other areas) or just the openness of it all. we have just gotten back from a 5 night stay at north haven near laurieton. it was gorgeous. we got to see whales. they were a fair distance away but with binoculars i could see them lunging into the air and splashing down. god they are spectacular animals. i couldnt get a photo of them as they were just too far away. i really need to pull my finger out and save up for a bigger camera. the kids had a ball and caught some little fish. thomas kept telling everyone he wanted to catch a carp and a fathead while he was over there. i couldnt stop laughing at him. he is a charactor.

the caravan park we stayed in was just beautiful. our cabin was just across from a play area and pool and the laundry, plus i had a pc right near the play area so i could check my emails and see what the kids were doing at the same time. i so didnt want to come back. anyway no rest for the wicked i need to go and get tea organised for when miss grace gets back from canberra. oh i have missed her.

i did it! i managed to convince ashley that he didnt need a handbag and an apron would be much more appropriate. i thought it would take a miracle but he loves his apron and he wears it everywhere.

i think he looks adorable in it. i am going to make one up for each of the kids as they will come in handy when doing craft etc.

Family Reunion 2009

you have probally heard me mention one or two or several times lately that we were having a family reunion here in town. well saturday was the day and we had the best time. i got to catch up with so many that i dont normally get to see which was unreal. the food was delicous and just soooo plentiful and the company was second to none. i think we will have to do another one in 5 years. anyway i thought you might like a few pictures.

hi all

do you feel like being a bit naughty. not the strip your husband down and pour honey on him naughty but pure self indulgence naughty.

at the last retreat someone made some really yummo caramel slice biscuits thingies and they are very addictive. well i have a family reunion tomorrow and thought i would try to do something similar. take a look at this mouth watering little snack....

all you do is heat up your butternut biscuits til they are soft and pliable. then i poured caramel (from a can, and yes ladies i know it is cheating but hey still tastes great), then i pour some chocolate on. omg i am in heavan. twenty kilos heavier but in heaven lol.

i had an ah ha moment today. i was chatting on the 3 angels scrapping forum and i noticed this woman mistra was making the most wonderful signatures for other ladies. i had to find out how she did it so i asked a few questions and low and behold it is really not too difficult and i had all the software here already to go and no idea on how to use it pmsl. so the banner up the top is now my new signature on every forum pmsl. i love it. i must the be the dog that isnt too old to learn new tricks.
